Excellent take out food! I asked for my scallops to be grilled and it was no problem, they were delicious. I had a large portion of Digby scallops that were very fresh and the fries were hand cut and also fresh. The fish and chips was a very large portion of battered haddock that was cooked perfectly. Next time we will try the lobster. We will be back!

Originally was gunna go to robin's for a snack but ended up at Maya's. Glad we made this decision. Got the neptune platter that came with 2 haddock fish n chips, 6 digby scallops and clams. Surprisingly the tartar sauce was prepackaged, but the food was delicious nonetheless. Have it with malt vinegar! The chips were cooked to perfection and good quality. The haddock batter was very nice and crispy. The clams tasted so delicious, and don't get me started on the clams... so good. If anyone happens to pass by here and wonder if they should try it? Please do. The pricing was very good for a platter of seafood.

I was going to Peggy’s cove from here, so I stopped by and saw their beautiful set up. I tried the fish and chips, which were very, very tasty. I want you to come and try them once. And the staff here is also very nice.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First of all, there is a Maya and she works there. Good to see a young person work so hard and create an amazing business We went there first a quick lunch. The staff were friendly and took our order which was, medium fish and onion rings and the scallops with fries. The scallops were fresh and tasted great (wow). The fish and chips were also excellent. Loved the onion rings as well The haddock was perfectly done.

Being from England, I’m a little fussy about my fish & chips. However, the fried haddock at Maya’s is probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted! The fish was deliciously fresh, thick and melt-in-your-mouth flaky and the batter was thin, crisp, perfectly seasoned and not greasy at all. The chips were hand cut, thick (if you expect thin, crunchy chips then you don’t know traditional fish and chips at all), hot and freshly cooked. Everything was cooked fresh to order. I highly recommend you stop by on your way to or from Peggy’s Cove or Lunenburg. You will not be disappointed by this small, unassuming, family run fish and chip shop.

Great place for fish and chips. Family owned. Delicious home made food. Worth the drive from the city.

Scallops and fries were fresh and cooked well. The wait time was almost an hour and other orders placed after ours were ready much before. Not sure if they forgot about our order or not but that was frustrating. We will give them another try based on the quality of the meal.
